Aviation Authority

Established as a special purpose district by the State of South Carolina, Charleston County Aviation Authority (CCAA) is responsible for managing, operating and developing three airports in the Charleston County Airport District.
The runways at CHS are owned by the U.S. Air Force and Joint Base Charleston and are shared through what is the longest running civilian/military joint-use agreement of its kind with the Department of Defense.

General Aviation Airports
In addition to Charleston International Airport (CHS), the CCAA also oversees Charleston Executive Airport (JZI) on Johns Island and the Mount Pleasant Regional Airport (LRO).

Leadership
The CCAA is governed by an 11-member board made up of local mayors, state and county elected officials and business leaders from the region. To learn more about our board click here
