Alaska Airlines moved to a new gate on Concourse B on May 25, marking the end of the airline boarding gate shuffle that has been a part of the Terminal Redevelopment and Improvement Program (TRIP) at Charleston International.
Alaska Airlines in now located at Gate B10.
Alaska Airlines came to CHS in November 2015, offering nonstop service between Charleston and Seattle four days a week. Construction on Concourse B was ongoing when Alaska arrived. Now that work is done, all the airlines have moved into their final boarding areas. The new gate assignments are:
- B1 and B3 United Airlines
- B2 and B4 Southwest Airlines
- B6 and B8 JetBlue Airways
- B5, B7, B9 American Airlines
Delta Airlines is the only airline currently housed on Concourse A.
The gates and boarding lounge shuffle was necessary because of construction, which had to be coordinated around the airlines' normal operations.
