Curbside demolition in final phase

Temporary lane closures for those dropping off and picking up passengers remain in effect as work to replace the center median in front of the CHS terminal makes quick progress.

The center median and sidewalk is under demolition. Construction includes repaving the curb and installing new lighting and underground cables to support a new taxi stand and new valet booth. The work is scheduled to be completed by March 31.

Barricades block two lanes of traffic on either side of the center median. Passengers walking from airport parking should pay attention to signage directing them to safe routes between the terminal and the parking garage.

Work is under way from the center curbside canopy and extends past baggage claim.

For pedestrian safety, motorists are asked to observe the 25 mph speed limit leading up to the terminal and to slow down, obeying all stop signs in front of the drop off and pick up areas.
