Curbside work moves to phase 2

Construction to replace the center median in from of the terminal continues, moving to phase two.

Temporary lane closures for those dropping off and picking up passengers remain in effect. Barricades will block two lanes of traffic on either side of the center median. Passengers walking from airport parking through the center canopy will be directed to walkways at opposite ends of parking garage during this second phase of work.

Work has moved from ticketing to the areas on either side of the main entrance to the airport terminal. The work also includes new pavement, the installation of improved outdoor lighting and underground cables to support a new taxi stand and new valet booth.

For pedestrian safety, motorists are asked to observe the 25 mph speed limit leading up to the terminal and to slow down, obeying all stop signs in front of the drop off and pick up areas. Signs will direct pedestrians to safe paths to and from the terminal.

The last phase extends from baggage claim to the Rental Car Pavilion and is expected to be complete by March 31.
