The Hudson shop is now open for business.
Located after the security checkpoint and next to the Low Country Harley store, the news and gifts shop has a new look and feel and a layout that makes it easy for passengers to find travel essentials quickly or just spend time browsing for uniquely Charleston gift items.
Travelers will see an upscale, high tech travel store with easy to spot products categories like Media (books and news), Marketplace (grab and go food, snacks and beverages) and Essentials (electronics, sundries and travel accessories).
A key feature in the Hudson stores at CHS is Discover Charleston where passengers can get last-minute souvenirs and gift items as reminders of time spent in the South Carolina Lowcountry. Hudson has exclusive agreements with several local landmarks and attractions to provide local gift items. These include Charleston Preservation Society, Magnolia Plantation, Young Plantation, Charleston Museum, Drayton Hall, Gibbs Museum and Moon Pie and General Store.
CHS will eventually house two Hudson stores, totaling 1,423 square feet of news and gifts space. A partner store Veranda News located near the Ticketing Hall provides another 1,348 square feet of news and gifts retail space.
Hudson’s other brands coming as part of the Terminal Redevelopment and Improvement Program (TRIP) include Eddie Bauer, Tech on the Go, Low County Harley Davidson, Charleston-based Saffron Bakery and Dunkin Donuts.
The Hudson Group has been operating retail concessions at CHS since 2000. Hudson is the largest travel retailer in North America.
