The final destination

The airline shuffle continues on Concourse B.

JetBlue Airways is the latest to make a move. Today, they began operations at gates B6 and B8. Last month, United Airlines landed at its new gates at B1 and B3.

Next to move is Alaska Airlines. CHS’ newest air service provider is moving to Gate B10 on Tuesday, May 24. Once Alaska has parked at B10, Southwest Airlines will open a second boarding area at Gate B2. Southwest already occupies Gate B4. Rounding out the Concourse B gates and boarding lounges is American Airlines, which is at gates B5, B7 and B9.

Concourse A is home to Delta Airlines.

The gates and boarding lounge shuffle was necessary because of construction in the Terminal Redevelopment and Improvement Program (TRIP). In the middle of construction, airlines merged, new carriers came and some went and others began flying larger aircraft out of CHS.

Now that the renovation projectis nearing completion, the airlines are settling into their final destinations in the airport.
