It’s been a high flying week for new business at Charleston International Airport.
On the heels of two new restaurants opening, a fifth new retail store opened today. Tech On The Go, a brand operated by Hudson Group, is an electronics and tech product store that caters to travelers. It’s located after security in the airport’s central marketplace for shopping and dining.
Passengers will find every tech-related item they need or desire in Tech On The Go at price points for every budget. Understanding the consumer’s ever-increasing desire for technology, Hudson Group developed Tech On The Go to bring an array of portable electronics and accessories to travelers, offering all the latest and greatest in everything from smartphones and tablets to headphones and accessories.
“The Hudson Group has been a long-time partner with Charleston International Airport and the Aviation Authority,” said airport Executive Director and CEO Paul G. Campbell Jr. “We are excited to see their plans for all-new retail stores come to life. We think passengers are really going to enjoy shopping here.”
CHS’ retail concessionaire since 2000, The Hudson Group has already opened two revamped Hudson News stores, a Veranda News with Discover Charleston shop inside and Low Country Harley Davidson, which is the second local store for the well-known Charleston Harley retailer. Next week Hudson Group is scheduled to open an Eddie Bauer store next door to Tech On The Go.
Tech On The Go has 28 stores in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico featuring such name brands as Sony, Belkin, Samsung, Disney, Marvel and Mophie.
The CHS space includes an interactive sound bar and ADA accessible stations so that each customer can fully experience the featured products. And, customers need not worry about carrying a bulky package on the plane; shipping can be arranged to any address upon request.
