CoronaVirus Update

Effective, Monday, July 13, 2020 the Charleston International Airport will require anyone entering the facility to wear a mask.  Guests should bring a face covering with them so they can be worn throughout the airport journey.  Acceptable face coverings include bandanas, scarves, t-shirts and other fabric that's held in place over a person's nose and mouth.  Guests at CHS will be allowed to remove their masks for a short time in order to consume food or beverages but must put their masks back on when they are finished eating.  Anyone not wearing a mask will be asked to put one on.  Almost all airlines already require passengers to wear face coverings at ticket counters, upon boarding and during their flight. 

COVID-19 Update 
At Charleston International Airport (CHS) the safety of our employees, passengers and partners remains our top priority. Our team is continuing to work closely with federal and state agencies, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. The airport has implemented prevantative meausres withing our facility which can be found on the terminal map below (click image for larger view). 


Several airlines now require passengers to wear face masks during check-in, boarding, in flight, and when deplaning. For the most accurate and up to date information about airline policies and flight status, please check with your airline.

We are continuing to work with our concessionaire business partners to ensure food and retail options  
are available for our passengers. Certain concession and retail locations that remain open may operate     
under reduced hours. Please see the below list for all stores and concessions that remain open at CHS. 

  •   Burger King (Food Court)
  •   Harvest & Grounds (Food Court)
  •   Desano's Pizza (Concourse B) 
  •   Hudson News (Airside Only)
  •   Hudson/Dunkin Donuts (Concourse B)

Ground Transportation/Ride Shares 
Valet operations have ceased temporarily but all other parking is operating normally. Our taxis continue to 
operate, however, the shuttle to downtown has ceased temporarily.

Guest Services
The Guest Services Desk will be open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to  5 p.m. If you have questions outside of these hours please call our Communications Center at (843)-767-1100. For questions related to flights please contact your airline directly.  

Tips for Healthy Travel
Remember to keep yourself, friends and family healthy by:
  • Staying home if you are sick
  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
  • Covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue – then throwing it out
  • Washing your hands regularly for at least 20 seconds (sing Happy Birthday)
  • Using an alcohol-based sanitizer if soap and water aren’t available
  • Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces
