Mitchell named first Corporate Ombudsperson

Deni Mitchell has been named the Charleston County Aviation Authority's first Corporate Ombudsperson.

Executive Director and CEO Paul Campbell announced that effective Sept. 1, 2018 this role of ombudsperson was added to Mitchell’s duties as his executive administrative assistant in his office. As the Corporate Ombudsperson, Mitchell will report to the airport director and will have consult as needed with the Aviation Authority Board chairman.

The Corporate Ombudsperson will have full autonomy and will provide guidance through listening and impartiality and will serve in resolving disputes and mediation when necessary. This position will be an advocate for fairness and equality in the workplace.

“I am confident with Mrs. Mitchell's 10 plus years as the institutional ombudsperson at the College of Charleston. She will bring a wealth of experiences to the Aviation Authority,” Campbell said.
